The Approach
Your landscape investment doesn't hibernate. Our winter management program safeguards your hardscaping, plantings, and outdoor features through Toronto's harshest months.
If you spent $50,000 or more on a custom landscape, winter is when that investment is most vulnerable. Improper snow removal cracks stone, salt burns plantings, and ice dams destroy retaining walls.
Why Cavemen?
We built the landscape, so we know exactly how to protect it. Our crews know where every stone edge, plant bed, and lighting fixture is. We never use rock salt, metal-edged blades, or subcontractors.
What's Included
Priority Snow Clearing
Zero-tolerance trigger -- we mobilize at first accumulation, not at 2 inches. Your property is cleared before you wake up.
Stone-Safe De-Icing
Calcium chloride brine pre-treatment that's safe for natural stone, pavers, and plant material. Never rock salt.
Rubber-Edged Plowing
All hardscaped surfaces are plowed with rubber-edged blades only. Hand shoveling around all masonry features and steps.
Heated Driveway Systems
Hydronic and electric radiant heating installation beneath stone and paver driveways for zero-accumulation winters.
Common Questions
What time do you clear snow?
We begin clearing at first accumulation, typically between 4-5 AM for residential clients. Your property is clear before your morning commute.
Do you use salt?
Never. We use calcium chloride brine exclusively, which is safe for natural stone, pavers, concrete, and plant material.
Can you install heated driveways retroactively?
Yes, but it requires removing and reinstalling the surface material. We recommend including it in the original construction for best results and cost savings.
